The musical journey of JUPI (Jupiter Tuballes Bacuado) an independent Filipino singer-songwriter and recording artist is a testament to lifelong dedication. Discovering his gift at just 6 years old, JUPI began singing before he fully understood the massive path ahead of him. By the age of 12, he was already stepping onto competitive stages, entering local singing contests and consistently earning top recognitions in vocal solo and vocal duet competitions throughout his school years. These formative experiences honed his distinct vocal control, emotional delivery, and dynamic stage presence across the OPM, R&B, and Indie Alternative genres.
Driven by a lifelong dream to become a recording artist, JUPI simultaneously realized a parallel calling: using his growing platform to uplift other young, aspiring talents. He actively collaborated with various local cultural groups and creative organizations, championing grassroots artists who shared his passion. This dedication earned him deep regional recognition, leading to a bustling career as a sought-after live performer, a professional wedding vocalist, and a respected panel judge for music competitions.
JUPI’s relentless commitment to the creative community culminated when he became an integral part of the collective Isla Dinagat Creators. This crucial partnership opened the doors to the national stage at the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) prestigious Young Creative Challenge (YC2) Season 2. Serving as the powerhouse vocalist and interpreter, JUPI brought the track “Salig Lang Ta” to life, earning a brilliant Top 4 national finish in the songwriting division.
Released as his debut commercial single, “Salig Lang Ta” stands as a smooth, soulful anthem of resilience—a direct reflection of his roots and artistic vision. Now rapidly expanding his media footprint with landmark promotional appearances—including a live session on the iconic Wish Bus 107.5 and an interview on Radyo Magasin 1278 AM—JUPI is successfully bridging the gap between local talent and mainstream success. As a creator, leader, and visionary, JUPI remains dedicated to pushing the boundaries of modern OPM, creating a musical space where both his art and the next generation of Filipino talent can thrive.
